Hosting and server log files

This website runs on Uniicy Cloud, our own hosting platform. The servers are provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, and are located in a data centre in Falkenstein, Germany. When you open a page, our servers automatically process technical data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, referrer URL, browser type and operating system.

We use this data only to deliver the website, keep it secure and analyse errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is deleted automatically after 7 days at the latest, unless a security incident requires longer retention. Hetzner acts as our processor under a data processing agreement; log data is stored on servers in Germany.

Contact form

If you use our contact form, we process the information you enter: company name, business email address, area of interest, your message, as well as the selected site language and the page from which you sent the form.

We use this data solely to answer your request and, where applicable, to prepare an offer. The legal basis is the initiation of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Submissions are stored with our database provider Supabase, Inc. (USA), which acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We delete enquiries once they have been fully handled, at the latest 24 months after our last contact, unless statutory retention obligations apply or a business relationship has been established.

Cookies, fonts & local storage

  • We do not use cookies, cross-site tracking or advertising tools.
  • All fonts (Geist, Geist Mono) are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other font services is made.
  • Your preferred site language is saved in your browser’s local storage (key “lang”) so the site remembers it on your next visit. This value never leaves your device and you can delete it at any time via your browser settings.

Links to external services (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram) only transmit data once you click them. The respective provider’s privacy policy then applies.

Website analytics

To understand how our website is used and improve it, we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Data is processed on servers in the EU (Germany).

Plausible does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and does not create cross-site or cross-device profiles. Only aggregated statistics are recorded, such as visited pages, referring website, country, browser and device type, as well as anonymous interactions (e.g. clicks on “Book a demo”, a sent contact form or a language change). A daily changing, non-reversible identifier is used to count unique visitors; it cannot be used to identify you.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an analysis of website usage that respects your privacy (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Plausible acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. More information: plausible.io/data-policy.

International transfers

UNIICY Limited is based in Mauritius. Personal data may therefore be processed outside the European Union. In these cases we ensure an adequate level of protection in line with the GDPR, in particular through the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
